Venice (Italian: Venezia) is one of the most interesting and lovely places in the world. This sanctuary on a lagoon is virtually the same as it was six hundred years ago, which adds to the fascinating character. Venice has decayed since its heyday and is heavily touristed (there are slightly more tourists than residents), but the romantic charm remains.

Every Friday at 20:45 Ikarus Bus leaves from Stuttgart Airport ( Bus stop : Outside Terminal 3 & 4 Arrivals). Check your ticket for address...

Carnival of Venice-Italy (Dates: 2012,2013,2014,2015,2016)

Carnival of Venice

Where:  Venice, Italy

When:

2012: February 11 – February 21

2013: February 2 – February 12

2014: February 22 – March 4

2015: February 7 – February 17

2016: January 30 – February 9

Outlandish costume. Check. Dazzling mask. Check. Wacky, weird and crazy side of you. Check. And you are all set to attend the madcap event known as the Venice Carnival!

The Carnival which was first started in the early 14th century has now become one of the most well known festivals in the world. Princes adorned in cheerful and vibrant costumes, flocked to Venice from all over the continent to be a part of the celebrations.

Today as per tradition, tourists flock to the city to be a part of the Carnival. Apart from the vibrant parade and brilliantly friendly atmosphere there are various other events like music and dance and other forms of entertainment, as well as parties in true Venetian style.

And if you have seen Casanova where Heath Ledger is trying to win over Sienna Miller while simultaneously trying to avoid his future bride or if you've read the Count of Monte Cristo then you know that this is not an exaggeration. So tighten your seatbelts and get ready for an amazing roller coaster ride as the festival envelopes you in to its midst!
