Passengers are from 1 January 2012 the short-distance ticket in the train and all local trains (DB, WEG) ride in the VVS. So far, the short ticket was only in the light rail and buses. In the short-distance railway traffic ticket is the future of one to the next stop, but not more than five kilometers. Stops, which are passed through without stopping to count, so not for those trips short-distance ticket is valid. For light rail and bus passengers the short distance ticket may continue to use the third stop after entry, unless they change or interrupt their trip, including night buses is not the short-haul ticket. For many passengers, a big win: If you drive, for example, the S-Bahn or regional train from Bad Cannstatt to the central station, paid from 1 January 2012 only 1,20 € instead of 2,60 Euro for two fare zones.

Tips:

S-Bahn

The S-Bahn, the short-distance ticket is valid on almost all routes between two adjacent stations. The only exception is the line is - Goldberg, which for more than 5 km to 7.7 km and therefore is not short. For example, now, the following high-use routes can be cycled with the short-distance ticket:

     * Schwabstraße - University of the S1, S2 or S3
     * Benningen - Freiberg am Neckar, with the S4
     * Bietigheim-Bissingen - Tamm with the S5
     * Leonberg - Hoefingen the S6
