Christmas Market:
Esslingen am Neckar offers with its beautiful half-timbered houses,
its narrow streets in the old city and its nice market place an
impressive scenery fort most interesting Christmas Markets.
A time machine will send Esslingen back into the exciting times of
the Middle Ages. The medieval market will take place on the Town Hall
Square, which provides a contemporary atmosphere.
At this unique Medieval Christmas Market during wintertime in
Southern Germany you will experience many fascinating attractions:
Music, magic, sorcery, fire-eater and a lot more. A wide array of
cultural events will be presented on two stages, including music from
long-forgotten times played on historical instruments and various open
air concerts free of charge.
The medieval stands of the traditionally dressed craftsmen present
calligraphy, leathery, silver jewelery, dyer’s trade and a lot more.
The Christmas Market will be held concurrently with the medieval market
on the Market Place. You will find the ‘living’ crib on the Christmas
Island on the Post-michel Square. Lively traders and around 180
beautifully decorated stands offer a really outstanding atmosphere

in 6th standard.. We all went to our native village to celebrate Diwali.. Lots of
sweets and crackers, everyone one in my family played with fire crackers, even
my Grandpa use to lit Lakshmi atom bomb with candle.
I was
little afraid of atom bomb and Lakshmi atom bomb, since it use to make huge
sound. So I asked to bring more Moole Pataki (Corner Cracker triangular in
shape) and Aane Pataki (Elephant cracker, small red color cracker used to make
chain of crackers, sara Pataki). I had got two to three packets of these crackers...

Start from Stuttgart early morning to Heidelberg, once you come out of Hbf you
will see tourist info counter.
Collect
necessary information & maps.
Catch Bus to
Altstadt.
Take a walk in
the Altstadt to Universitätplatz and move on till you reach entrance to the
old bridge.
Spend some
time in old bridge and come back to Universitätplatz and move towards
Bergbahn entrance (Kornmarkt).
Take a kombi
ticket to Entrance to the Castle + berg bahn(to & fro) costs 5€ p.P.
Visit castle and park.
While coming back get down at Bismarckplatz, if you are interested in doing some shopping.. |
